Designing With Pets
The fashion industry often influences the interior design world. We start to see big bold florals with dresses and blouses and the following year we see it appear in rugs, throw pillows and upholstery. Just as jewelry started to mix metals with gold, silver, rose gold and stainless we witnessed the same trend duplicated in hardware, light fixtures, and accents within the home. Black and white is a tried and true combination that is a classic reoccurrence in fashion as well as interiors. Fashion designers usually always incorporate a line of black and white knowing it will be well received. The moral of the story is watch fashion trends and pay attention to the fact that you will see it start to seep into your interior design magazines, Pinterest, Houzz and any place you get your inspiration from. Be bold and incorporate some of these fashion elements within your home. Don’t do all brushed nickel fixtures in your bathroom, mix it up! Throw some chrome in there along with black or a little bit of gold. Mix up your patterns in your family room, incorporate a bold floral in a rug or a pillow. A classic black and white bathroom is timeless and will keep you falling in love every time you go in there.
